Injured AGAIN!

I always wondered how it feels to be in an accident and on OCT 2011 i had a taste of it. How stupid of me to have even think about wanting to experience an accident. The feeling was BAD.

You come out giddy, nausea, with a headache and shoulders and back aching yet you still have to do your best to make sure that all important details is capture.

This is the side of my rear bumper after the accident.

Rear Bumper Cracked

Even my boot got dented

This is the other party’s vehicle damage. i still can’t believe how he insisted i should not have stop when i see a oncoming motorcycle. he rather i kill a motorcyclist than following my basic theory driving rules. with a small damage like his, he even said he was going to claim my insurance. what a joker. zzzz

Immediately i went to the doctor did MRI scan and was diagnosed with whiplash injury. Pain continued the next months, physiotherapy was the solution.

This is me in cervical brace and my friend twisted humor.

SO that was what happened in OCT 2011 and i underwent physiotherapy to get well and was on my way to recovery when ONCE AGAIN i got hit from behind!

UNlucky me =(

Got out of the car feeling the worse and my shoulder and back aches all came back. suddenly my neck movement was restricted again! Worse still, I was to give training the next day at Saint Patricks Secondary school and no one could replace me even though i had MCs. Lucky for me, i had great trainers like Amin, Leroy and Gerald who were willing to help relocate the segments so i could go for medical checkup and accident reporting in between.

This is me sneaking a pic after MRI scan

Only one day and this is how my bill looks like a grand total of $1940(specialist and MRI scan) plus the other day of $600(A&E)

One more scan to go tomorrow and specialist review on monday.

Really feeling frustrated and upset over this event, but whatever doesn’t kill us always makes us strong. The brighter side is that at least i am still alive after this accident.

The saying goes… Everything Happens for a Reason. 2 accidents within 4 months. There better be a good reason. Becoming stronger now!

Weekly reflections – 19 Feb, 2012

Life improves when you take 5 minutes a day to reflect whether you have been taking powerful decisions. Remember, small steps everyday would amount to a huge distance walked in years

Step into success NOW by reflecting about your life with me.

At times, we feel unhappy. we lament about the fact that we have to work and slog our life to pay the bills.

At times, we feel so tired. Need to rise up to expectations from people around  us or even surpass those expectations to impress them.

At times, we just feel like giving up. Life needs to have more meaning than just what I am going through right now.

Most time, we think like that because we have a mental image of someone/something that is better than what we are going through right now.

What happens when we compare ourselves to the less fortunate?

Think about this… Is there someone out there not able to own a computer/ internet and unable to read this right now?

is there someone out there who is going through more difficult time than you are? are there people who do not have a roof over their head?

Life is a matter of perspective. Look at tough times in a different perspective and you will find greater strength to move on.

Murphy’s day in Jakarta

Feb 14, 2012 by

I hear about Murphy’s Law all the time but i’m never a subscriber to it.

Muphy law states that ”Anything that can go wrong will go wrong” and i experience that on my 11 Feb trip to Jakarta.

1. Left my wallet in Singapore, lucky i had spare cash in my international wallet

2. took out my blackberry(my indo handphone) to charge but forgot to pack it in my luggage. Thus could not contact my friend as conveniently as i wanted.

3. needed to get to Singapore airport by 6.25am, couldn’t find a cab until 6.00. Lucky me, i met a crazy woman taxi driver that managed to get me there on time. LOL

4.was expecting to talk to 60 people at 11.30am(JKT time), but only 6 people turn up. Had to stall for time using videos.

5, halfway playing the Videos the computer wasn’t too good and had to change. lucky i brought spare laptop.

6.talk suppose to be from 11.30am to 1pm ended up i was delayed till 3pm.

7. had to rush to meet my friend at Ambassador mall before 830 as the tailor was going to close and i very much wanted to see the quality of the material.

8. While driving to ambassador mall, my good friend Abiyan took the wrong turn and more time was wasted.

9. Finally meet up with Mike Rios and wanted to bring both him and Abiyan to eat TongSeng Sate at Ambassador mall but was close!

10. decided to head down to catch manchester united match 9.45pm at a pub.  turn out that it started at 7.45 and ends at 9.45 and i had calculate the time wrongly!

At this point, i asked,”whats that law people talk about when everything is haywire?” Mike replied Murphy’s Law.

Damn this Murphy haha…

Being a positive me, i decided to focus more on the happy happenings and so here it goes…

Me acting cute with my own iPhone before setting off to Ambassador Mall in JKT and before my “supposedly” Manchester united vs Liverpool Game

Going on a food rampage at KAMSENG (jakarta) since i missed the Manchester united kicking liverpool’s butt game =)

Pictures of the meat we had.. Char siew and Roast pork too dry compared to Singapore but Chicken was juicy

Broccoli-favourite veggie. sauce too salty though.

HaiNam set- a treat of a little bit of everything

I guess the food compensated for the bad start of the trip. after eating, everything else went well i guess! haha show you more pics from my talk soon =)

Research has shown that successful people tend to make decision rapidly and are slow to reverse a well thought out position. People who usually fail, decide slowly and change their minds frequently.

What would your next milestone be? what are the foundation steps?

Once you decide and plan something stick by it!.

Visions are pictures that are form within our minds to give us a direction. Some of these pictures may seem achievable only in distant reality but the truth remains that all creations are created twice.

First a vision is created in your mind then with action, your creation is created in reality.

Often people who are successful, are said to have started first with a vision. Recall a few names and you would understand what I mean, Martin King Luther, Obama, Sir Alex Ferguson.

What is the vision of yourself in 5 years time?

Create a picture within you mind , you might even want to list it down on a piece of paper.

We must commit to learning rom our mistakes instead of agonizing over them, or we are destined to repeat the same mistake again.

Remember that there are no failure in life and these setbacks are just experience we can learn from.

Doing things outside of our comfort zone may be tiring but pushing through this will eventually lead to a bigger and wider comfort zone.

Like muscles gets stronger with use, so does our brain muscles or decision making muscles. The more decision you make, the better you’ll become at making them even though some decision may lead you to actions outside of your comfort zone.

Today, make decision to take action on two things you have been procrastinating on. As soon as you are decided, throw yourself into taking action. By doing this, you’ll be building the muscles of taking action that can possibly change your entire life.
